Time for Change is 8 weeks of group coaching that provides the time, space, support, and tools you need to figure out what you want your life to be.
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if you are a woman physician who is ready for change.
THAT MAY FEEL LIKE:
You know you want a life that is different from the one you’re currently living, but you’re just too exhausted to enact change without some support.
You worked really, really hard for the life you have, but now that you’re in it, it isn’t exactly what you imagined it would be.
You are fiercely self-reliant, but sometimes it can be lonely being so independent. You want to find other people who ‘get it’.
You want a life that’s connected. Maybe you’ve occasionally caught yourself thinking,
“My life is so much more than this”.
You know you’re no longer the young person who, at 20, decided to pursue a career in medicine, and did everything it took to achieve that goal, no matter how much sacrifice or compromise. But you’re not sure who you are now.
“My life is more than just ‘what I do’.
I want space for ‘who I am’ in this one, precious life.”

Hi, I am Dr. Kara Pepper. I am a practicing Primary Care Internist and Certified Life Coach.
In 2015, I nearly left medicine due to burnout. At that time, I felt like I’d made a colossal mistake in practicing medicine. And looking around at my seemingly perfect colleagues, I was sure that I was the only doctor who was struggling. While on sabbatical, I rebuilt my life AND I returned to practice medicine. I eventually left my traditional practice to start my own telemedicine practice - a place where I can care for patients and myself.
I have since spent the past several years coaching women physicians who look great on paper but feel overwhelmed or unsatisfied in life. This course is the culmination of my personal experience and that of the hundreds of physicians I have helped. I want to make this work available to more women, so that they can build a life for themselves that is meaningful, connected, and peaceful.
I am really proud of the course that I have created. It’s exactly the course that I needed in 2015, when I felt burned out, frustrated, and epically lonely. If you feel like that now, then this is undoubtedly the right course for you.
I don’t have all the answers.
That’s why I have invited some of the best coaches I know to this course to deliver on their areas of expertise. As well as several sessions with me (details below!), you will have the chance to work with:
Dr. Errin Weisman on
Financial Freedom
If you choose to add 1:1 coaching to your package, you can work with one of these guest coaches for a session, if you would like to.
“The topics were areas I needed to cover and explore but did not know about before this course. It helped me tremendously… I felt a sense of belonging. I made changes that I would never have made otherwise. I love that I was challenged to look at long-held beliefs about what success looks like and that self-sacrifice is an integral part of being a physician. Kara's open acceptance of all feelings and situations as valid and real…set the tone for everyone else in the group.”

It is time for you to take time for yourself instead of living in service of everyone else. You are more than what you do and who you care for. It is time for you to have the space to rediscover the person you have always wanted to be.
What does the course look like?
I don’t want to give too much away, but I know you probably want to know a little more about what you’ll get out of this course. Here’s a rundown of what I have planned:

The course takes place over 8 weeks via Zoom.
All sessions are recorded and available for your unique schedule.
This will be a safe, confidential space for you to explore some really deep, prodding, existential questions.
Of course, we’ll cover the typical struggles of getting to inbox zero and caregiving...
but also the intimate questions that perhaps you’ve only considered in your own head:
“I don’t know what I want to do. I just know that I cannot do this anymore.”
"Who am I at this stage of my life?"
"What is there for me?"
"Nothing is wrong, but everything is awful."
"Everyone else seems happy in medicine. Why not me?"
"I should be happier."
"I want to be an amazing leader, but I don't know how."
"I met all my goals. Now what?"
I designed this course to be intimate and tailored specifically to you. I want everyone to feel heard, seen, and understood. For that reason, I am only accepting a small number of applicants.
“Kara is compassionate and also holds me accountable. She asks all the right questions to really make me think and grow. The openness and validation is so helpful. Being able to have tangible ways to move forward is so important.
I love that I could be in a safe place to discuss with other physicians who just "get it”. This course turned my thoughts from being pure self-critic into thought work with a purpose...taking the time to dive into these topics that should be discussed throughout medical training.”

At the end of the 8-week course, from November 18th - 20th, you are invited to a real-life in-person retreat at Serenbe in Atlanta, Georgia, where we will spend valuable time as a group.
There will be elements of yin yoga, reiki, OMT, meditation, and sound baths, but the main focus of the retreat is to have a true experience of relaxation, using all of the tools and ideas that we have gathered during the 8 weeks of the course.
The retreat will be calm, centered and grounding - a digital detox - and you get 5 extra CME credits for attending.
Although I would love for all of you to come and join me in Atlanta for the in-person retreat, I realize that may not be possible for some.
I don’t want you to miss out on the course for that reason, so there are 4 packages available:
You may have some questions about the course.
Here are the ones I hear most frequently:
Who is this course for?
This course is for female physicians who are ready to make a change in their lives and need some help to enact that change.
What if I can’t make the sessions?
While I recommend you try to make the sessions live where possible, group sessions will be recorded and sent out to all participants. So if you have to miss a week or want to watch something back for any reason, you will have access to all of the sessions after they have taken place.
What if I can’t make the retreat?
Not a problem! There are different packages available for this course depending on what works best for you:
-
The Time for Change course + Retreat - $4,499
-
The Time for Change course only (no Retreat) - $3,749
-
The Time for Change course + Retreat + 3x1:1 coaching sessions - $5,499
-
The Time for Change course only + 3x1:1 coaching sessions - $4,749
Can I use CME funds?
Yes! This course has 26 CME credits available (29 CME credits if you include the 1:1 coaching package, and up to 34 CME credits if you include 1:1 coaching and attend the retreat ) so you can use your CME money to pay for it.
I have a question that isn't addressed here...
